To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing. I was introduced to teaching as a guitar teacher and loved the field of education ever since. My first school experience was teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies in Queens, N.Y.in 1979. Finally, I found my niche in high school teaching various subjects such as Physical Science, Biology, Social Studies and tutoring after school programs for the passing of the high school graduation tests.
