As a graduate of a renowned Teaching College, I have been motivated to set high standards for my educational and teaching practices. I currently have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education for grades 7-12. My content concentration is Social Sciences. The Special Education background enables me to assist struggling learners with Special Education Law, Reading, Math and other related subjects. I believe I'm quite a good teacher because I'm firmly committed to excellence in academic work, but I don't believe in being pedantic or dreary about it. My own interests are quite broad, and I think I'm quite good at finding ways to make academic subjects relevant and appealing to each student's particular experience and worldview. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2008 with my B.S. in Health Education. My option was Wellness Management which has a business component but in obtaining the degree I was required to do some teaching as well. (Not formally, more presentations to my peers and community education. I do not have a teacher certification.) I am a Certified Health Education Specialist which is a certification on top of my degree. I did some mentoring while I lived in Dover, NH and greatly enjoyed my time spent working with youth.
