Experience Summary
As a graduate of a renowned Teaching College, I have been motivated to set high standards for my educational and teaching practices. I currently have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education for grades 7-12. My content concentration is Social Sciences. The Special Education background enables me to assist struggling learners with Special Education Law, Reading, Math and other related subjects. My background in Social Science allows me to assist students with History, Sociology, and Psychology aspects of learning and academics. I have tutored a lot of different subjects. Among these are Math, History, and English/Language Arts. I have also tutored Spanish as a foreign language.
Teaching Style
I really have a passion for teaching children from all walks of life. I believe all children can learn, but that each child has their own individual style. I want to help your child be successful in subjects they never thought possible. I am patient, easy going and flexible. I appreciate the ideas of my students, and incorporate their interests into my learning philosophy to keep things relevant for them. I believe that all children are capable of reaching a level of success when given the proper support and guidance. Teachers can make or break a child's perception of education, and their overall educational experience. I aim to be the teacher that a child remembers for positive learning strategies and life lessons that were taught.
