I tailor my teaching to the learning sales and needs of my students, but I personally like to make my lesions Nd sessions as realistic as possible. If the lesson's goals allow for it, I involve reading, writing, listening, and speaking in an authentic way. I also try to begin lessons with a formative assessment to gauge prior knowledge. This allows me to incorporate the right amount of support at the beginning. As the lesson proceeds supports are lessened to allow the learner to practice and demonstrate the new knowledge or skill.

I have over three years experience teaching English as a Second Language. I completed two full years teaching English in Namibia. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I'm Hispanic/Latino and very fluent in Spanish.

I tutored an elementary school student in his math class and then that same school year in the Spring semester I helped out a college student with his pre-Calculus course. This was in 2013-2014 school year and it was a payment at my own discretion and on my own. I also have had experience working in an administration position in Human Resources area and it certainly helped me in organizational skills and communication skills.
I like interacting with students and openly communicating and socializing with students on topics related to math and real-world situations of their own thinking.

Spanish is one of my top subjects! I studied abroad in Argentina for 1 year during my freshman year of undergraduate studies where I learned to speak the Spanish language with fluency as well as taking classes in Spanish grammar and vocabulary. Also during my undergraduate studies, I received a minor in Spanish and had another opportunity to study abroad for a summer in Honduras, where I learned about Honduran history and worked as a teacher assistant in a Honduran elementary school. I have also traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, and Ecuador working as a Spanish translator for mission trips with my local church. In addition to experiences abroad, I worked as a Spanish tutor for 3 years during my undergraduate studies helping students at all levels of Spanish classes, including College Spanish I-IV.
