I love teaching! Seeing a student’s eyes light up, as they first understand a new concept, is very rewarding. I am a very patient and easy-going, yet focused. I take the time to be sure a student truly understands something before we progress. I feel that instruction needs to be tailored to the student. Every student has the potential to achieve if taught in a way that meets his or her needs. Though I am very familiar with the traditional teaching style of direct instruction, I am learning the value of a constructivist approach. A Little Bit About Me...

As a scientific researcher and future graduate student, I believe that science (Chemistry and Biology) are a pertinent are of study for students who plan to be premed, involved in healthcare, or desire to conduct innovative research. I have earned my bachelors degree in Biology, and have earned a minor in Chemistry. These studies have allowed me to take courses and gain experience in both the lecture and laboratory facets of my academic career, which has allowed me to become a very competent laboratory researcher and technician. Children are amazing artists due to the fact that they don't censor themselves creatively like most adults tend to do. I teach, instilling confidence through positivity and constructive criticism. I encourage children to experiment and discover their own style. I teach the basic fundamentals as well as the techniques of painting and let the children find their own unique style. Turning a blank page into a work of art shows that something beautiful and imaginative can be created through each individual.
