I was a tutor for the School of Business and Economics in Elizabeth City where I earned by BS in Business in 2003. I tutored beginning through Intermediate accounting, Principles of Marketing and other business subjects from 2000-2003. I was a formal tutor for one year and a student tutor for 2 years. I currently tutor family members, friends and church members in all basic elementary through college subjects. (ex. Algebra, Physics, Chemistry, Accounting, Statistics,English etc. ) Basically, if you have a book or instructions we can get a passing grade out of the class. I feel comfortable and I am qualified to tutor through Spanish II. As a tutor, I review previous test, quizzes and work with the student to see where the "disconnect" lies. I love working with children of all ages. I can say I am patient enough to deal with elementary students being that I've done so before. I love to have fun with learning and can bring the fun of learning to the classroom. I want the students to want to learn and that is what I am going to bring to the table. Children's church is where a year of my experience comes from. I would guide a group of children during the service and would spend individual time with those who wanted to brush up on their reading and writing.
