Experience Summary
As the only member of my family to achieve a Master's degree, I am committed to lifelong learning. I have earned an Associate's degree in Business Management, Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, and a MBA in Business Administration. Currently I am finishing up coursework for my PhD with Capella University to take the comprehensive exam. I am a Professional Tutor for Southside Virginia Community College in Alberta, VA. and for University Instructors in Richmond, Va.MY various areas of study are English, Essay writing, Business management courses, Statistics and Quantitative Methods, Information Systems, Economics, Online classroom facilitation, drug dosage and PSB test preparation for Nursing students as well.
Teaching Style
My teaching style embraces differences among learners to understand why they respond the way they do. As an instructor, I want to understand how members/groups learn and maintain the balance in the classroom. I provide learning through a variety of ways such as powerpoint presentations, lectures to supplement the weekly readings, provide additional resources to support the material. The most important benefit that I can offer my students is to be accessible to them at all times. Assessments would reflect the learning objectives through problem-solving, open discussions, group work, role play and journal writing.
