My comments on tutoring Literature : I have read a wide variety of authors and even won a scholarship for an essay based on Plato's writings.

I love working one on one with a student. Wherever the student needs help or wants improvement, that is where I meet them. I'm very patient and extremely friendly, and I am determined to help a student understand in any way I can! As such, I earned two bachelors degrees, a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering, and a BA in Japanese. This is a highly interactive style which leads the student to uncover the answer themselves as opposed to the teacher simply reciting the answer to them. Guided Discovery requires the student to learn by doing therefore developing necessary problem solving and deductive skills that will make them better learners and thinkers both now and in the future. "How many different ways can I teach a concept?" is the mentality I use when working with students. Every student learns in his/her own unique way. Being creative, adaptive, and fun are essential.
