With my IB training (International Baccalaureate) I have successfully engaged students into finding purpose in math. I attended Bethel High School and obtained my degree from Hampton University in 1996 with a Mathematics degree. Since then I have taught Middle School math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, GED, and have prepared students for their ACT, SAT, and ASVAB. I have taught inclusion classes involving students with numerous learning styles and have always met and exceeded the expectations of their parents. In 2007, I graduated from Penn State with a plan of attending graduate school for Creative Writing. I was devastated when I received three rejection letters from schools I admired. Instead of letting that devastation break me down, I accepted a job as an SAT/ACT Preparation Teacher at a learning center.
