Many people would be surprised to know that Cantonese and Mandarin are consider as Chinese. However, they tone and the way to speak Cantonese and Mandarin are totally different. I grew up in Southern China, so I am good at speaking and writing in Cantonese and Mandarin. I have experienced on teaching young kids Chinese one-by-one.
