I graduated from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) in 1984 with a degree in mathematics. Since then, I have held a number of teaching positions in private secondary schools and colleges. I have taught the following subjects: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I&II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. I have also tutored many students in those subjects (references available). I currently substitute teach in the mathematics department at Bangor High School on a fairly regular basis. My experience as a tutor during my school years has taught me that students have hard time on subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and Biology, not because they didn't have good instructors, but because students were not provided enough background information on various topics. I have always employed a fun-filled curious environment to my students which have helped them come up with more questions and instill passion on the subject matters.
