I seek a student-centered classroom with a balance of authority and trustworthiness in the teacher so that the students respect me while at the same time feeling comfortable to share their ideas freely. I like for students to apply what they learn soon after the lesson. For example, if the subject was math, and we had been doing multiplication by flash cards, I might ask a question about the number of squares on a chess board. The idea is to firmly ground the students with their comfort zone as foundation and build upon their confidence with new ways of applying what they have learned so that they continue thinking outside of the rote lesson.

I have both a Bachelors as well as a Masters degree from the University of Arkansas which I completed while I was in the military stationed at Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Ark. My degrees are in Business Administration and Management. My work experience has been mainly in Accounting and Finance. I've managed million dollar budgets, produced various financial reports and completed financial analysis. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature. I love the challenge of figuring what pieces, educational, each student is missing and helping them fill the their gaps to reach the next level and have things come together for them.
