Throughout my life, I have always dedicated myself completely to whatever task I take on. This quality has helped me earn a bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a 4.0 GPA in my first semester of graduate school at National Louis University in the Master of Arts in Teaching program. I have an extensive background in science from my undergraduate studies, in addition to a passion for Language Arts - both will allow me to earn middle school endorsements on my elementary education teaching certificate. I began teaching 22 years ago at a middle school and later taught high school when I relocated to the beach. I also tutored at a local community college. The most rewarding aspect of teaching and tutoring is when the lightbulb goes off at the crucial point of understanding in the student's mind. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and School Leadership. A Little Bit About Me...

The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged. I am also a strong believer in "real world" lessons and activities that my students can relate to. This encourages my students' critical thinking abilities as well as a desire to learn.
