As a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a BS in Elementary Education, I received my first teaching position as a special education teacher in the Rockford School District, 205. After two years, I moved into a 6th grade position, teaching Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. I received my Master's degree from Walden University in Middle Level Education with areas of concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies. I went on to teach 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. I am Title 1 certified and have 20 additional hours of training in the education field.
The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways.
