As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. I have two disabled children myself and they bring me much joy in my life. Every child in this world have the potential to success and discovery their own hidden talents. Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.

I graduated with an AA Degree in Liberal Studies from Allan Hancock Community College. I then transferred to San Francisco State University where I earned my BA Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Sociology. Upon graduation, I began working as a Substitute Teacher for grades K-8 in Santa Maria, CA.
