I am currently teaching mostly guitar and bass. I encourage the students, sometimes acting as their cheerleader as I take each student through a custom talored series of learning about their instrument as well as learning songs that are appropriate for their level and interest. After graduation from App. State, I traveled across much of the US as a professional musician. I have teaching experience with both adults and childeren in both classical music and church music. I also have experience in recording as a producer and arranger. I enjoy teaching both children and adults, from beginners on up to future music majors. Each student is unique, so I try to adapt my instruction to take advantage of each students strenghts. While my B.A. degree has give me the educational experience I need to pursue a professional career path, my real experience has come from my years of studying music. I have been playing the piano for 20 years and during this time have taught piano lessons for 10 of these years and have been a church pianist, organist and choir accompaniest for 15 years. I love teaching all ages. Since I enjoy teaching students of all ages, I think I adapt easily to many personalities.
