Experience Summary
After a rewarding and successful career as a fourth and fifth grade teacher, certified in SC and GA, I have recently retired, yet still have a passion for teaching boys and girls. My experience has been in top rated schools with high academic standards. I have taught all subjects, mainly in fourth or fifth grade curriculums. I am familiar with State and National Standards for these grades, and plan to keep abreast of new and/or changing requirements. I look forward to making a difference with students who need remedial instruction.
Teaching Style
Children energize me, and I thrive on working with students and helping them learn. After almost 30 years of teaching, I have learned that each child has their own individual strengths and weaknesses. I try to encourage them in their strengths in order to help them in their weak areas. I also try to determine their particular learning style and make learning rewarding for my students. All children deserve a quality education, and my goal is to help them make the most of their academic career--to enjoy learning and become a lifelong learner.
