I have been a working graphic designer for most of my life after graduation from Ohio State. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona. In Arizona I was assigned as an inclusion teacher for 9, 10 11th grade English. I had to accommodate diverse learners and plan instruction. For some, it is difficult to put in effort into some topics because they think "Oh I'll never get this in a million years!" My focus on tutoring kids is to improve their self-esteem by breaking down examples into smaller pieces and walking through them in a step-by-step manner.
