Experience Summary
I have been a working graphic designer for most of my life after graduation from Ohio State. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona.
In Arizona I was assigned as an inclusion teacher for 9, 10 11th grade English. I had to accommodate diverse learners and plan instruction.
I hold a valid Arizona Cross Catagorical Special Education Certificate that expires August 2013
Teaching Style
I can identify students problems in learning and can accommodate and modify curriculum so diverse learning can understand grade level state standards.
Each student will have a unique set of circumstances that make their learning style different. I am adept at finding that learning style or block to learning and overcoming it.
I am consistent, nurturing and respectful of all students. I am creative in my approach to solving their learning problems and establish an environment of safety and respect.
