I was in the top 10% of my class at an elite college preparatory school and earned a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. This has exposed me to great teachers and a variety of different teaching styles. I studied cello and piano formally for 7 and 10 years, respectively, and taught cello for 2 years. I graduated from a small, hands-on high school that focused on experiential learning. This coupled with my time at a small liberal arts college dedicated to teaching more than research, has shown me the value of a one on one relationship with a teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a classroom teacher for the last 18 years. I have taught in both Public Junior High and High Schools, as well as Private School. I love teaching science, and love to make the class exciting. It really gets students going when you use current events to teach and when kids debate issues, it is a great learning opportunity!
