I completed my undergraduate degree in Dramatic Arts in 2011. I have directed several theatrical production and dramatic scenes. Additionally, I have worked 1 on 1 with many students on dramatic pieces and monologues for auditions and competitions. I also have served as a judge for several speech and drama competitions (including the National Forensic League). I currently teach Public Speaking on the college level. For drama and public speaking, I prefer to be highly interactive and enable the student to discover and create his/her own art with knowledgeable guidance and lots of discussion and performance experimentation. Originally trained as a teacher of Drama and English, I subsequently spent many years working in the theatre, not only in educational situations but also as an actor, director and writer. Although I have been self employed for the last 6 years, I went back to school last year to add Science and Math for middle school to my certification. I passed the Praxis for both of those subjects spring of 2010. I was not able to get a full time teaching position this year. I went back to working for myself but would love to tutor.
