I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. As a computer programmer or systems analyst, I kept my math skills sharp through my entire career. I try to see what the student already knows and go from there. Of course it is important that a student get an assigned math problem correct, but it is also important that the student UNDERSTANDS why something works and how that can be applied to other problems when a tutor or teacher isn't present.
