Experience Summary
I am well trained and experienced mathematics tutor. I have a Master’s degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science from Illinois State University. I received my Bachelor’s in Mathematics at the State University of New York at Old Westbury. I have worked as a Graduate Assistant at the college level at Illinois State University during my graduate studies. I tutored students in Pre-Algebra and College Algebra. Also, I worked at my undergraduate college, State University of New York at Old Westbury, as a Math Lab Instructor. I tutored students on various levels of College Math, from College Algebra to Calculus which included the usage of computer software. Furthermore, I have training in teaching ACT and SAT math due to my work experience at Huntington Learning Center. My experiences combined with my love and passion for teaching mathematics will prove to be invaluable to students and parents as they strive to meet their academic goals. Through the creation of my own examples and the usage of pictures, I am able grab the student’s attention and understanding more easily. I am a visual learner.
