During my undergraduate studies at the Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University, I have gained a passion for learning about math and the social sciences. I have earned a bachelor degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Studies. I have taken math courses ranging from College Algebra to Calculus II to Math for Liberal Arts. I have used statistical sampling for my undergraduate research thesis. I was involved with a youth program for most of my time in college, so I am able to relate easily to a variety of ages and work with them in such a way that they feel comfortable and confident. My teaching style is relaxed but still organized, and I do a good job of communicating with students no matter their learning style. I graduated from UCF in 2006 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and I've been working as an engineer and project manager in the field ever since. My job requires several certifications that I've had to complete and pass, which is to say math and science are two subjects I use on a daily basis!
