Math is by far my favorite subject. I have taken everything from pre-algebra to calculus, including Statistics. I have a BS degree in Interdisciplinary Natural Science and a Minor in Public Health. I worked for USF Housing and Residential Education. I also was a Peer Leader for Chemistry where I was basically a Teaching Assistant and led two sections by myself. I like the child to feel comfortable with me to where they are at ease and readily ask questions. I prefer to ask the student leading questions to aide them in coming to the conclusion on their own as opposed to simply telling them information. After a few questions have been answered then I am able to help them with the details of problem and a help them build a method for solving similar problems in the future.

I love to cater to each students needs. That's why I love tutoring because I can do this. Some students are visual learners, some learn by hearing, and some by doing. I incorporate all of these into my tutoring. I want to see all of my students not only get good grades but to truly grasp the concepts. As an undergraduate I started to tutor Chemistry in 2007. Since then I have tutored Chemistry to many different students in one-on-one and large group sessions. I was a music specialist for one semester. It was a great experience that I truly enjoyed. I taught grades K-5. I was responsible for creating my own lesson plans and activities for the 40 minutes of music class. I introduced recorders to the 5th grade. Then I put together a booklet for them to teach themselves how to play more songs. They looked forward to working on this summer project independently. I tutored 5th and a 3rd graders this last year. A fifth grade student of mine was falling behind in her work load and brought home a below average report card during the first quarter of school.
