Experience Summary
My 30 plus years ofteaching experience includes elementary grades, language arts, information literacy, and children’s literature on the college level. I teach intervention and FCAT preparation groups for elementary students in writing, reading, and math. As a Media Specialist, I encourage students to love reading. I also run our Accelerated Reader program. I am also National Board certified. My training from both my university classes and county staff development will enable me to successfully tutor your elementary aged child.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching children and watching them learn. My many years of experience have confirmed that children learn by doing. They learn in different ways and at different paces. But all children can learn. I use creative ways to help children achieve the benchmarks they need to accomplish. I have high expectations for my students and work hard to help them be successful.
