I went to the Newhouse School (at Syracuse University) and studied broadcast journalism to get my bachelors Degree before earning my Masters in Health Informatics from USF Tampa this past December. It doesn't matter what they don't know because I believe anyone can be taught anything, at least as long as you have the right teacher and materials at your disposal. I believe students are like little sponges. They're taking in everything around them. Obviously, if you fill their heads with garbage, they will learn garbage. Being a special education teacher I understand completely that every student can learn, however they simply do it in a variety of ways. I like to teach to the different senses in the classroom-See it, Say it, and then do it. Not every student can sit and listen to a teacher explain something verbally, they need to experience it.
