Experience Summary
My career in education has spanned over 17 years and has included teaching in Special Education and regular education. I have a BS Degree in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Education. I have taught from preschool age to high school age in both Florida and New York. I am certified permanently in New York and held previous certification in Florida. I have also tutored in homes and in the public schools. I especially enjoy tutoring, as the environment and teacher-student ratio is much more conducive to student success.
Teaching Style
Because of my background in Special Education, I have learned to adapt curriculum to the individual levels and learning styles of my students. I have also learned that there are many creative ways to make learning more inviting for students. I have adapted many subjects to games and activities that students enjoy while learning.
I have a patient spirit with students, yet I do expect them to be responsible and do their best.
