I have taught/tutored for over twenty-Five years in California, Arizona, Virginia, and Ontario, Canada. I taught/ mentored students from around the world at a Canadian boarding school. I have held teaching certificates in Arizona, Virginia and California. I also taught three years of Greek and experience teaching Grades K-12. I am a philosopher at heart. I enjoy students and desire to share with them my love for learning which is a life-long process. Learning should be a stress free, engaging, encouraging and enjoyable experience. Following my return to Southern California after graduation, I accepted a position as a bilingual instructional assistant within the Saddleback Valley School district. I believe any child has the ability to do anything in the world if they are given the opportunity and necessary skills. Many times educators falter because they have been teaching so long that they forget a student’s mindset is different. I believe that a great educator will listen to the needs and strengths of the student directly from the student to help detect what is preventing the student from completely mastering a particular skill. This is why I incorporate all learning styles into my teaching not for the purpose of being redundant but to allocate the best learning style and expose the student to other undiscovered learning styles.
