I Have worked for the Davis County School district for 12 years. The last few years I have been working intervention for students who are not performing at grade level. I have learned that not all kids can learn the way they are taught in school. My 8 year old is dyslexic. I Have studied the Orton-Gilingham multisensory approach to reading and spelling. My comments on tutoring Psychology : I did take a psychology course in my senior year of High School. We went over the basic Freudian principles as well as others.

Throughout high school, I had trouble trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I graduated. I took many classes that ranged from Weight Training to Biology. I took many Art classes in which I excelled at. I then took some Computer Technology classes and I loved it. So I figured I would put the two together and took Graphic Design classes. I loved it. I am very competent in using all sorts of Graphic Design programs. I got my first guitar around 8 years ago and just picked it up and learned it. I have been learning ever since. I personally, have taught many people the basics of guitar and gave them the tools to excel in music.

My teaching style might be a bit unorthodox but it is something I have acquired from past teachers and tutors. I have not helped or tutored in a while but I believe I have an easy and simple approach to it. When it comes to physics and chemistry, the math can be learned over night, the concepts are most critical. You can't read a problem and interpret the question word for word. You have to find a way to relate it to real life and what you see everyday. A spinning disk becomes a truck tire, a sound device becomes a sub woofer. Things that you can relate to.
