ADD/ADHD is one of my top subjects! I am a credentialed school psychologist and have worked with ADHD students for many years.

I have taught in Michigan and in California. I also have credentials as a school counselor and psychologist. I have experience with all aspects of the special education system from the K through grade 12 level. This incudes testing, placement and re-evaluation and the IEP process. Is it a requirement and not in your field of study so you just want to pass the class or is this a part of your passion or career and really want to know the nuts and bolts of the subject. I will adjust accordingly and make out a plan. I will also figure out the best way to teach you the material and from there we will have a plan to accomplish the targeted goal.

All students can learn, but in different ways. I, for one, learn best by watching how something is done. I can read about it, or hear a lecture about it, but seeing it helps me understand the subject. This type of teaching would be done with movies, drawing or acting out the situation. In my teaching, I try to use all methods available to me to help the students learn and to use their creativity. I especially try to get students to work in groups and to share their work with each other. I find that pier groups provide the best help in understanding the subject matter.
