I enjoy working with children of all ages. I feel that no two students are alike and it takes a compassionate and focused instructor to figure out the best way that a student will effectively learn. I've worked as a substitute for nearly 18 years(1974-1992) in the Champaign-Urbana area school districts in Illinois, as well as a private music instructor, and as a class guitar instructor before moving to Nashville in 1996. I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt.
