My father had a piano rebuilding shop and I worked for him begining at age 12, in every aspect of piano rebuilding, regulating and tuning. Do I need to say more? Over 40 years of working on pianos is more than most piano tuners have. I don't use tuning machines, God already gave me 2 on each side of my head that work much better. I could write a long paragraph of blah blah trying to impress you but over 40 years of pianos says it all.
I have been a professional musician since 1978, teaching other musicians theory, performance etc. What can I say? I grew up in a music store! I've taught guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums and piano technology. Most of my students are now professional musicians. I don't use any techniques out of any book, each person is different and their needs are also.

Not every student learns in the same way, and understanding this simple concept is crucial to successful teaching and tutoring. My goal is to understand where each student is in their larger journey as a writer, as well as where he or she is in terms of the immediate work.
