I taught Art for grade levels from 1st through 12th grade for a private school for 3 years. Due to the economy unfortunately our school had to remove the art & p.e. program. As a graduate of AIPX, I was exposed to everything from the basics of art to how to fully run my own business. Through my education I also gained the ability to present my ideas. I feel that this is a skill that every artist must have. An artist needs to be able to not only create but present, so that the viewer understands. Building this confidence will only open the mind of the young artist and bring out their full potential.
I have always been interested in teaching. I love the idea of being able to pass my knowledge along to younger generations. Without the teachers and mentors that I have had over the years, I would not me as successful as I am now. Working with children is extremely exciting for me. Helping a child develop is an amazing gift and I cant wait to be able to do so.

I am a California State University, Los Angeles graduate, holding a BA in English, with a specific focus on clasroom teaching. Throughout high school and college, I was driven to assist my peers, using my knowledge to ensure that they understood the subject matter and would succeed in any academic endeavors. As a nanny, I have several years experience teaching small children to read. I am also well versed in theatre arts, dance, and world history.
I believe that an open dialogue is a teacher's most needed resource.
