As a graduate of AIPX, I was exposed to everything from the basics of art to how to fully run my own business. Through my education I also gained the ability to present my ideas. I feel that this is a skill that every artist must have. An artist needs to be able to not only create but present, so that the viewer understands. Building this confidence will only open the mind of the young artist and bring out their full potential.
I have always been interested in teaching. I love the idea of being able to pass my knowledge along to younger generations. Without the teachers and mentors that I have had over the years, I would not me as successful as I am now. Working with children is extremely exciting for me. Helping a child develop is an amazing gift and I cant wait to be able to do so.

I believe that an open dialogue is a teacher's most needed resource. Any child needs to feel as though he or she can express concerns or apprehensions without the fear of feeling embarrassed or stupid. I truly believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Teaching should, of course, relay necessary information, but it should also foster a student's drive to succeed, as well as the knowledge that any goal can be reached through perserverance. As a UCR graduate, I have been devoted to acquiring and developing my skills acquired during school. I earned a BA degree in Political Science which has enabled me to gain experience in the way the government works, and also further developed my writing, reading and analytical skills.
