I am highly skilled in the use of grammar and the instruction of the usage of various grammar structures. My experience includes informal teaching of grammar to those with English as a second language. I have experience teaching children ages 4-6, including both neurotypical and autism-spectrum children. I also have informally instructed college-aged individuals whose first language was not English on the proper use of various English grammar structures. My teaching style is very hands on and unique. I focus on the writer's voice above all because without that, they are only writing words with no soul behind them. In college I was a "student instructor" in my university's writing lab, which is just another way of saying that I was a tutor.
