Experience Summary
I have a bachelor's degree in English from Tulane University, and I've also started my teacher certification. While I was in college, I worked in three local charter schools tutoring kids in grades 1-8 in reading, as well as helping them with language arts, math, social studies, and writing skills as needed. I got to take classes on early childhood education in subjects such as children's literacy and classroom management, and I even wrote my own children's book! I was also part of a program that helped high schoolers of all writing levels and styles produce great essays. I'm hoping to return to school to get my master's in Reading to become a reading specialist in the future.
