I am Stefany Rodríguez and I just moved from Puerto Rico all the way to Florida. I graduated highschool and now am studying Drama at Valencia college. My background is filled with academic success, especially in areas like theatre and music. I have participated in many plays, such as Oedipus Rex, Hercules, World War 2, and Les Miserables. My teaching style is based on student needs and abilities. I feel that every child is capable of learning and enjoying music as well as any other subject. A students progress is determined by their learning rate based upon their maturity level. Students learn at levels and must master one level before attempting a higher level. My 30 plus years ofteaching experience includes elementary grades, language arts, information literacy, and children’s literature on the college level. I teach intervention and FCAT preparation groups for elementary students in writing, reading, and math. As a Media Specialist, I encourage students to love reading. I graduated from UCF in 2006 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and I've been working as an engineer and project manager in the field ever since. My job requires several certifications that I've had to complete and pass, which is to say math and science are two subjects I use on a daily basis! Math and science are subjects I excelled at while in school and I do have some previous tutoring experience among family friends (the students I tutored were in middle school and high school).
I was involved with a youth program for most of my time in college, so I am able to relate easily to a variety of ages and work with them in such a way that they feel comfortable and confident. My teaching style is relaxed but still organized, and I do a good job of communicating with students no matter their learning style.

I have always been of the opinion that a teachers' job is to inspire students and assist them in becoming the best they can be in life. I am patient and have an innate ability to know what a student needs to learn and how they learn.I believe in a combination of structure, enjoyment and imagination while learning. Students have personally thanked me for what I taught them.
As a graduate of a highly regarded private school I was able to expand on what I had already learned being a music prodigy and traveled through 5 countries in Europe on music scholarship I added Education to that experience and have not only some very good experience in the Arts but obtained a Masters' Equivalent in Social Services as well as over 6 years experience in ESE. I am highly qualified in ESE Language Arts, have taught Consumer Math as well and I am highly qualified in Music.
