I have three years experience teaching in the best language schools in the world, including Berlitz International, CNA Language Schools, Brazil, and TAG IDIOMA, Brazil. A Little Bit About Me...

After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio I was employed by the Crestwood Schools, Mantua, Ohio to teach instrumental music. I taught this subject at the middle school level while assisting with the high school program. My entire thirty year career in instrumental music was with the Crestwood School System. During my tenure at Crestwood Middle School the instrumental music program evolved into a vital program within the school involving four bands and over 250 students. During these years and to the present I still am involved in private music lessons and aiding music stores with their instrument recruitment process.

I was a music specialist for one semester. It was a great experience that I truly enjoyed. I taught grades K-5. I was responsible for creating my own lesson plans and activities for the 40 minutes of music class. I introduced recorders to the 5th grade. Then I put together a booklet for them to teach themselves how to play more songs. They looked forward to working on this summer project independently. I tutored 5th and a 3rd graders this last year. A fifth grade student of mine was falling behind in her work load and brought home a below average report card during the first quarter of school. After my help her grades climbed to almost the A/B honor roll. Her parents were pleased with her improved grades, attitude, and self concept.

I love to cater to each students needs. That's why I love tutoring because I can do this. Some students are visual learners, some learn by hearing, and some by doing. I incorporate all of these into my tutoring. I want to see all of my students not only get good grades but to truly grasp the concepts.
As an undergraduate I started to tutor Chemistry in 2007. Since then I have tutored Chemistry to many different students in one-on-one and large group sessions. I have submitted by certification to be accepted by the State of Florida Department of Education and am awaiting confirmation. A Little Bit About Me...

Literally all my life I have been asked by students, parents and teachers to help students who were having trouble. I get tremendous fulfillment from watching someone who has been frustrated finally "get it." In addition to teaching music lessons, tutoring all subjects, and homeschooling my own two children, I have worked for the last 17 years with a private school. There I have taught a wide variety of subjects, but they depend on me the most heavily for high school sciences and maths. I am currently a registered substitute teacher, state certified to teach music and high school math, and I am working toward certification in more subjects. Due to my own hunger for education, I am actively pursuing a Masters Degree in Math Education.
