I have an adaptable teaching style. Teaching is most effective on the individual level. On the rare occasions I have been able to work one-on-one with a student, I am able to approach the material in various ways to best fit that student's needs. Most students in today's society are visual learners. Visual aides usually work the best with these students. When these students don't grasp material, usually it is because they are not able to conceptualize it. However, if you can assist by showing, the student gets a jump-start into comprehension. While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center. I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences.
