I am a junior English major and Religious Studies minor at Rhodes College. I graduated from Harding Academy ('09), a school well known for its strong English department. The past two summers I have worked at Harding's summer camp as a counselor for first and second graders, so patience is definitely a trait that I have come to learn and appreciate. Being an English major, I am strong in areas concerning reading, writing, and grammar. Also, I play football for Rhodes College, and I try to display the work ethic I have learned on the field in all that I do. Reading and writing are, and have always been, enjoyable for me. I’ve had many years of practice in the tutoring field dealing with the fact that my brother has a learning disability. He likes to have fun and thinks that leaning is boring, so I try to make learning as fun as possible. Then I have my student on student tutoring when the students tutor each other. I think its better that way because most students don't really pay attention to their teachers but they take it better when it comes from another student. Sometimes its better because something you understand they may not understand and when you explain it to them then may be they will understand it a little better.
