Experience Summary
After completing a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies from a local seminary, I taught adults for six years and found my passion in teaching.
In 2008, I worked as a substitute teacher in the North Mississippi school district for approximately six months.
In the fall of 2009, I began working on a Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Peabody College in Nashville. I worked part-time with a kindergarten class as a Teacher’s Assistant at the University School of Nashville.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students can and do learn. I am extremely patient, but require my students have an internal desire to learn. I believe that students must be challenged to reach their highest potential.
I have used the Responsive Classroom technique and found it to be useful in encouraging student success and maintaining appropriate classroom conduct. Respect for students will ensure reciprocal conduct and will assure the student in obtaining his/her desired educational goals.
