I am from Spain. I moved to Naperville in July, 2012. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I went to a British school in Madrid. I am also in my sixth year in French. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I teach beginner Spanish to students wanting to learn a new language.

Teaching has always been my passion. From babysitting to leading summer camps, I have always enjoyed helping children learn. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish endorsements. I also have a Master's degree in Reading. I have been teaching elementary students for 8 years. I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the classroom. I love teaching young students and seeing them grow and succeed. I have been a math resource tutor at my high school for the past year. I really enjoying helping people using my strengths in the math and sciences. I have also experienced tutoring first hand. I was tutored in AP BC Calculus and AP Physics, so I know from experience what works and what doesn't. A Little Bit About Me...

Although the bulk of my tutoring experience has been with university students (two years), providing instruction in basic, mid-level and advanced Spanish coursework, I feel there are a few others worth mentioning. From February to November of 2010, I worked for a non-profit in Bolivia as both a translator and a tutor in a home for children aged 5-13. Several years before when in high school, I worked as a trombone instructor for elementary and middle school students from district 204. I believe in taking a casual approach in tutoring. From previous experience, I have found that many times students understand the material but tend to get flustered in a classroom environment. I provide guidance when needed, but sometimes students just need someone there to talk it out with them. If this is the case I like to ask questions until they find the answers themselves. A Little Bit About Me...
