A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring professional for six years and teaching for five. I am certified by the state of Tennessee to teach secondary math. I have worked with all levels of students, from remedial to gifted. I have worked from age 7 through adult learners and had a positive impact at each age and level.
I spend much of time making the student understand that it is okay to feel behind in a subject and that the student should believe in himself. This belief is built on continued practice on fundamentals that I watch them go through but only ask questions when I see them going astray. Everyone needs to learn the material for his or herself. My place is to make sure they learn the right methods to solve the problem and ensure that they know those methods beyond the tutoring session.

I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. I have tried many styles of learning to see what works for me. I record lectures, take my own notes, like to question myself while I'm studying for a test.
