I love working with children. I have 3 of my own and I am currently studying for a Master of Science in Higher Education so that I can teach. I would love to teach college courses, but my main focus is teaching elementary students. I think it would be easier for me to tutor younger kids versus high shcool children. Even though that's where my experience is at, I just love working with smaller kids. I've volunteered at preschools and kindergarten classes and I absolutely love to work with them.

I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. I have tried many styles of learning to see what works for me. I record lectures, take my own notes, like to question myself while I'm studying for a test. I think connecting something to something you already know will help you retain that new information very well. I believe in constant verbal quizzing and repitition as a means to develop the child's ability to retain knowledge and call it forth at will. I have learned from past work experiences that all people learn differently be it either visual, kinetic (hands-on), or verbal (by listening). Growing up, I was always very gited academically. I never struggled with school, and learning was an easy pleasure.
