Hello, my name is Jennifer Garcia and I am currently in the final stage of becoming a certified elementary teacher. My experience began in high school when I offered my tutoring services to elementary children. The student was in grade school and I assisted in math for a period of 3 months. Other opportunities arrived in college. I was a TA for two years for one of my professors. When I finished my B.S. I worked part time with an online company called tutorjam where I tutored five days a week, 2-3 students a day. The subjects I focused on was math and reading ranging from grades 1-8. My comments on tutoring Elementary Study Skills : Study skills are necessary to learn especially in preparation for Junior High/Middle School. These involve note taking skills and organization skills which enforces study skills.

Over 16 years, I have taught various subjects for students with hearing impairments. I also have experience in teaching students with multiple disabilities as well. I have had experience in teaching an after school program with students who needed assistance in learning. In addition, I have taught American Sign Language classes to parents. Taught Grades 3-6 over a 35 year career successfuly with great feedback from students, parents, and administration. Love teaching all subject areas at the elementary school level. Education: BS.ED in English and minor in education; At least 60 hours beyond my Masters in School Administration in various subject areas: Reading, Writing, Math, Animal science.
