I constantly compare the perspective I get when I stand in front of a classroom with my own experience as a student. I find it rewarding when I see my students focused and it intrigues me how the dynamic of my lecture influences their performance. I enjoy helping students work through tough problems by allowing them to make mistakes and then rework the problem a couple of times the correct way. Since this is my area of expertise, I am able to come up with examples on the fly that will target the areas most troublesome to the student.
