Experience Summary
I'm a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I’m fluent in English, Spanish and am conversant in German. I work as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Engineering department and twice a year I lead a discussion section during a one-week course in Polymers for undergrads at the Institute of Polymer Technology (LKT) in Erlangen-Germany. All these duties have changed my perspective on education and shaped my teaching approach.
Teaching Style
I constantly compare the perspective I get when I stand in front of a classroom with my own experience as a student. I find it rewarding when I see my students focused and it intrigues me how the dynamic of my lecture influences their performance. I have applied this style while teaching in engineering and in other tutoring in Spanish as a second language that I have done. I enjoy the most teaching to children because I like to experiment with different teaching approaches and examples to catch their attention and interest and make sure they will remember what I taught.
