In terms of teaching style, I believe that different students require different teaching styles and techniques and I attempt to vary and utilize those based upon the specific needs of the student. As a more specific comment related to the teaching of Accounting/Finance, I believe that modeling Accounting techniques works best with the majority of students and that the adage "practice makes perfect" is particularly applicable in the Accounting arena. I was the valedictorian of my graduating high school class and one of the top high school math and science students in the nation, but I was not always a stellar student. For instance, I received a “D” in math in the second grade. I attribute my transformation to an "A" student at least partially to my third grade teacher in whose class my math grades improved dramatically and I jumped from the lowest to the highest reading group.
