I love to cater to each students needs. That's why I love tutoring because I can do this. Some students are visual learners, some learn by hearing, and some by doing. I incorporate all of these into my tutoring. I want to see all of my students not only get good grades but to truly grasp the concepts. As an undergraduate I started to tutor Chemistry in 2007. After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio I was employed by the Crestwood Schools, Mantua, Ohio to teach instrumental music. I taught this subject at the middle school level while assisting with the high school program. My entire thirty year career in instrumental music was with the Crestwood School System. During my tenure at Crestwood Middle School the instrumental music program evolved into a vital program within the school involving four bands and over 250 students. I have a BS degree in Interdisciplinary Natural Science and a Minor in Public Health. I worked for USF Housing and Residential Education. I also was a Peer Leader for Chemistry where I was basically a Teaching Assistant and led two sections by myself. I like the child to feel comfortable with me to where they are at ease and readily ask questions. I prefer to ask the student leading questions to aide them in coming to the conclusion on their own as opposed to simply telling them information.
